Binding: Late seventeenth-century sprinkled calf over boards, gilt spine tooling and title, red and brown sprinkled edges (vols. 1-2; vols. 3-4 have red and blue sprinkled edges). Vols. 1-2 are on 5 raised bands; vols. 3-4 are on 4 raised bands. Most of the same tools have been used on all bindings, except for at the head and tail of spines.
