Provenance: Eighteenth- or nineteenth-century ink shelfmark (?) on pastedown of each vol: B.5 ---5. Bequeathed to the National Trust by Norman Norris (1917-1991). Binding: Nineteenth-century full calf over boards; double gilt fillet; blind armorial centrepiece stamps of the Bagot family, with baron's coronet; brown leather spine labels with title 'Spirit of laws'; sewn on five raised bands.
