5 v. ; 4to. Running number: 7436. Extensive water and mould staining throughout each vol. Provenance: armorial bookplate on front pastedown in each vol. (not listed in Franks): anonymous, arms of John Hobart, 2nd Earl of Buckinghamshire (1723-1793) and his second wife Caroline Conolly (ca. 1755-1817), married 1770, with Buck and Talbot supporters and earl's coronet. Binding: eighteenth-century full mottled calf; very bad condition (leather cracked, delaminated, surface partially missing); sewn on four supports; six raised bands; gilt roll pattern along board edges; gold-tooled spines; gilt title on brown sheepskin label and gilt vol. number on spines. Red sprinkled textblock edges.
