(2) on verso of title page: K: Rooper. [i.e.: a gift from one of Sir Thomas Pope Blount's daughters, eight of whom survived to adulthood, to Katharine Roper (b. ca. 1675, d. ca. 1752, wife of Sir Thomas Pope Blount. Items with Rooper provenance came into Winn family ownership on the marriage of Sir Rowland Winn, 4th Baronet (1706-1765) to Susanna Henshaw (m. 1729, d.1741).. Binding: Sprinkled calf; spine gilt; five raised cords; spine label missing: 'Blovnt essays'.
