Binding: seventeenth or eighteenth-century full red gold-tooled Morocco; sewn onto six sewing supports; double gilt fillet border and panel of double and single gilt fillets, with gilt cornerpiece stamps; gilt wreath centrepiece of two leafy branches made from repeated small leaf stamps, encircling the initials I.L; gilt floral roll pattern along board edges; spine gilt with six raised bands, dividing the spine into seven compartments, the second compartment has gilt title lettered directly onto spine, all other compartments filled with repeated floral tools; gilt floral roll pattern at head and foot of spine and along raised bands. Gilt edges. Pulled paste paper endpapers. Front free endpaper has been removed.
