Structure: EnglishEdges: plain cut, marbled (stone pattern), polished Spine Lining: Near flat, square joints, linings not visible, with 5 falsi raised bands End Bands: worked L-R 2x2x2 in cream, pale blue and dark green silk over a rolled paper core with a crowning core also of rolled paperBookmark: dark grey silk ribbon, glued to the spine under the headbandBoards: 5mm rope fibre boards, back-cornered, all slips laced in Covering: full red-brown russia calf, faint traces of the original dicing still visibleTooling Spine: titled direct in gold in panels 2 and 4 and at tail end of spine; panels 1, 3, 5 and 6 with gold-tooled central ornament surrounded by blind-tooled decoration.
