Bibliographic description
[12], 106, [2] p., [1] leaf of plates :. ill. ;. 4to. Accession no. 3769. Catalogued from Barber catalogue. Provenance: Bequest of James de Rothschild, 1957. Provenance: manuscript note by author at head of frontispiece 'Ex dono authoris'. A bookplate on the pastedown is concealed and two others on the verso have been removed. Binding: eighteenth-century English red morocco gilt, decorative roll border, gilt spine with cipher-like tool and a dolphin roll at foot. Lettered directly. Gilt edges, wave-marbled endleaves. The marbled endleaves at the front have been pasted together and this probably conceals a bookplate. Ascribed to T. Elliott on the grounds of the folls used which are listed by Nixon in his 'Harleian bindings',
