[i.e. catalogue code of John Mitchell (ca. 1685-1751), librarian to Ellys], with Mitchell's note on verso of third front endleaf: "Orlandi" [i.e. title note for anonymous works entered by Mitchell in his catalogue of Elly's library]. Binding: eighteenth-century full sprinkled calf over boards with double gilt fillet border; gilt roll pattern on board edges; raised bands, gilt tooled spine with gilt title on leather label; comb and swirl pattern marbled endpapers; red sprinkled edges.
