Provenance: manuscript inscriptions on front fly-leaf: "Edward Wilson", and "Bartholomewe Wilson booke of the guift of Edward Wilson". manuscript inscription on title page: "George Browne" [i.e. George Browne, 1626-1703]. Occasional manuscript marginalia throughout.. Binding: 17th century sprinkled calf binding (becoming detached from boards), with quadruple blind fillet border; board edges have gilt chain roll decoration; spine has blind dotted roll decoration alongside raised bands; edges stained red (very faded). manuscript title on foot-edge: "Cook on Littleton". Initials 'BB' stamped in blind on both boards [probably either Benjamin Browne, 1664-1748, or his son, Benjamin, 1692-1748].
