Provenance: manuscript inscription on first front fly-leaf: "G Browne" [i.e. George Browne, 1688-1767]. manuscript inscription[s] in pencil on second front fly-leaf, probably all by George Browne (1834-1914): "George Browne Troutbeck 1849" [i.e. George Browne, 1834-1914], "George Browne, Benjamin Browne book 1734", and "G Browne Westmorland".. Binding: 18th century calf binding, with triple blind fillet border; board edges have gilt roll pattern decoration. Initials 'BB' stamped in blind on both boards [probably either Benjamin Browne, 1664-1748, or his son Benjamin, 1692-1748].
