Provenance: Eighteenth or nineteenth-century armorial bookplate showing the arms of Londonderry impaled with the arms of Pratt under an earl's coronet, motto "Metuenda corolla draconis", lettered "Londonderry" [prob. Robert Stewart (1739-1821), cr. Earl of Londonderry in 1896, cr. 1st Marquess of Londonderry in 1816, or his second wife Frances Pratt (ca. 1751-1833), daughter of Charles Pratt, 1st Earl of Camden]. Binding: Eighteenth-century full sprinkled calf. Sewn on three cords (plus 2 false raised bands), brown and black leather spine labels lettered in gilt. Edges lightly sprinkled red.
