Birket, Low wood 1761". The fly-leaves and many of the internal pages have late 17th/early 18th century manuscript formulae and prescriptions for a number of different human ailments, plus a number for the treatment of horses, one signed on second front fly-leaf "Geo. Birkett farrier, Troutbeck", and dated on p. 1 "1800".. Binding: Contemporary sprinkled sheepskin binding, with double blind fillet border.
