[i.e. catalogue code of John Mitchell (ca. 1685-1751), librarian to Sir Richard Ellys (1682-1742)]; with Mitchell's manuscript code at foot of pastedown: "δ'." [i.e. delta' = Greek number 4]. Manuscript codes on front pastedown: "Constat 4t", "JN" [in pencil] and "1661". Binding: seventeenth-century full plain vellum over boards; sewn onto three sewing supports; fore-edges folded over; lower cover blackened with damp staining; spine cracked, partially missing. Blue sprinkled bookblock edges.
