Provenance: (1) [Sir John Bankes (1589-1644) and by descent]; (2) loan note on front pastedown: Vpon returne of this booke Robert Maud dwelling in St Sepulchres church lane is to pay me twelve shillings [text bracketed together on the left hand side with the words: next doore to the golden lyon]; signed underneath in a different hand: Rob[er]te Mawde. Binding: Limp vellum on five alum tawed thongs, remains of two pairs of pink silk ties, red sprinkled edges; the back free endpaper has been torn out.
