Reynolds Solly (Not in Franks) [Samuel Reynolds Solly (d. 1889), of Serge Hill, Hertfordshire]. Twentieth-century crest bookplate: Norman E. S. Norris, Patcham [i.e. Norman Norris (1917-1991)]. Bequeathed to the National Trust by Norman Norris (1917-1991). Inscribed on v. 1 flyleaf in Norris's hand: H. [i.e. Hodgson's] 4/5 '38. Lot 282. 26/=.. Binding: Eighteenth-century full calf over boards; gilt fillet; rebacked; black leather spine labels with title 'Lyson's Environs of London'; sewn on five raised bands.
