Inscribed on v. 1 pastedown in Norris's hand: Deerleap Library 4 vols. 3/- H. [i.e. Hodgson's] 9/3 38 Lot 212 [i.e. Deerleap, Rowlands Castle, Hampshire; its library, property of the late Admiral M. P. O'Callaghan, was sold by Hodgson's 9 March 1938].. Binding: Eighteenth-century full calf over boards; spine gilt with floral tools; red and dark brown spine labels with title 'Foote's Dramatic works'; sewn on five raised bands.
