With occasional manuscript marginal annotations and notes, e.g. on p. 188 in vol. 1, p. 7 in vol. 2, p. 306 in vol. 4. Binding: nineteenth-century full tree calf; gilt roll pattern along board edges; recessed cords; gold-tooled spines; gilt title 'Walpoles Anecdotes' and vol. number on red morocco labels on spines. Light yellow textblock edges. Turkish patterned marbled endpapers.
