xxii, 266 p. ; 18 cm. (8vo.) Provenance: manuscript inscription on verso of front free endpaper: "To Constance Talbot, the gift of her affectionate and grateful friend Amelina Petit. Lacock Abbey 20th of April 1860" [i.e. to Constance Mundy (1811-1880), wife of William Henry Fox Talbot, from Amélina Petit de Billier (d. 1876), governess and female companion to the Talbot family]. Binding: nineteenth-century reddish-brown cloth; blind-patterned covers; gilt-lettering on spine. Binder's ticket on rear pastedown: 'Bound by Burn. 37 & 38 Kirby St.'.
