Bibliographic description
[11],4,[87]leaves, [96] plates. ill. obl. fol. Accession no. 4515.2. Catalogued from Barber catalogue. Provenance: Bequest of James de Rothschild, 1957. Provenance: bookplate of R.M. Trench Chiswell. Binding: English russia, about 1790, fret roll border. Gilt spines with green lettering-pieces and bands, on the bottom one of which is lettered 'Watts'. The plates, designed to be bound into an oblong quarto, have been sewn up along the longer edge with the horizon of the plates therefore on the vertical. Bound uniform with Watts, The seats of the nobility. As the leaves of the Harrison are smaller than those of Watts, the square of the book as well as the head and tail of the spine have been filled out to make two quartos of the same size. Marbled endleaves.
