End Leaves: Sewn single-fold of plain white handmade laid paper, no pastedowns Structure: English Edges: Plain cut, densely sprinkled with red pigment, polished Spine Lining: slight round, quadrant joints, no evidence of linings End Bands: worked L-R, 1x1 in blue and white thread over rolled paper cores Bookmark: None Boards: 3mm paper pulp, internal bevel along spine edge, back-cornered, all slips laced, perpendicularly Covering: brown tanned calf, sparsely sprinkled with black pigment Tooling Spine: blind-tooled 2-fillet border with two further 2-fillets creating a central panel, with 3 fleurons each at head and tail Tooling Sides: Blind-tooled 2-fillet border and quarter line with a small fleuron in each corner Furniture: None Enclosure: None Binding Notes: There are three pieces of paper with ms notes on them inserted at pp.256/7, one with a sample of brown felt attached to it.
