Manuscript initial on front fly-leaf: "M." [i.e. catalogue code of John Mitchell (ca. 1685-1751), librarian to Sir Richard Ellys (1682-1742)]. Binding: late seventeenth-century calf; double blind fillet border; panel of triple blind fillets, with blind cornerpiece stamps; gilt roll pattern on board edges; blind fillets on spine. Red and blue sprinkled edges.
