D4 turned-in uncut Spine Lining: moderate round, angled joints, no visible evidence of linings End Bands: sewn 1x1 L-B in red and white silk(?) thread over rolled paper cores, cut at the joints Bookmark: None Boards: 3 mm couched laminate rope-fibre millboards; slips 1, 3 5 only laced in, angled up in the left board, down in the right. Covering: Full tanned brown polished calf, sprinkled with a dilute black pigment Tooling Spine: gold-tooled 3-line (centre dotted) tool at the head and tail of each panel, large gold-tooled flower in centre of each panel, with small tool in the corners, no title.
