142,[2] leaves . 8vo.. Marginal notes (early 17c.; probably by Thomas Savile) on leaves 2-5. Provenance: Signature at head of title page (decorated early 17c. hand): Thomas Sauile his booke. 'Tho. Sauile' in same hand each side of date. [Both = Thomas Savile (b.c.1601), grandfather of Alice Savile, wife of Sir Pury Cust]. Notes on wrapper and on end flyleaf apparently signed 'Willi' and 'Willam' (probably Thomas's son William Savile (d. 1682), incl.: 'To the faire hands [... (deleted)]'. Bookplate: Belton House (earl's coronet & crests), upside-down on end pastedown. Old Belton pressmark on front pastedown: 1.. Binding: Vellum wrapper, sewn on 3 thongs; two ties (mostly extant).
