Quaritch; 1897 Waddesdon catalogue, p.69. Binding: French red morocco in Jansenist style about 1725; arms of Count Hoym on cover and his cipher on spine. Lettered directly, edges gilt over marble, doublure of blue morocco with roll borders; fly-leaves with combed marbled paper on both sides; red, white, green and black headbands. Binding ascribed to A.-M. Padeloup as it is identical to that on the Waddesdon copy of Scarron's Roman comique which bears Padeloup's ticket.
