Binding: eighteenth-century gold-tooled calf over wood boards; double gilt fillet border; panel of double and single gilt fillets, with gilt cornerpeice stamps; gilt roll pattern on board edges; gilt spines with stamp and roll tooling; gilt title on green morocco label on spines: 'Sloanes Nat. History of Jamiaca', and gilt vol. number. Red and brown sprinkled edges.
