Grangerized, with cut-out pencil sketches of various historic buildings in Kent and Sussex attached to a number of pages. manuscript annotations and marginalia in Latin throughout (date "January 1826" on plate following title page). Two sheets of paper inserted between pp. 120-121, containing manuscript verse in French, headed: "Avril, 1815. Imitation par J. F. Rével avocas", and "Pindarum quisqpar Le Brun".. Provenance: Bookplate (pasted over earlier plate with serated edges): George Harry Grey (1765-1845) after 1819; anonymous armorial. Not in Franks or Viner.. Binding: 18th century red goatskin binding; triple gilt fillet and stamp border on boards; double gilt fillets on board edges; gilt roll on turn-ins; gilt charges (fleur-de-lys, shells and unidentified (Breton?) charge) on spine; all edges gilt; sprinkled endpapers. manuscript inscription on rear fly-leaf: "Charges on spine from the arms of Bourgevin de Viallard de Moliny. AH 18. VIII. 2000".
