With a few interlinear notes, marginal markings and notes (partially cropped by binder), and underlining of text, all in same early hand in black ink from a3r to q3r (i.e. the Bellum Catilinae and Bellum Jugurthinum) and on s5v (i.e. the Invectiva in Ciceronem); marginal annotations, underlining of text, capital strokes and paragraph marks, all in early hand in red ink on q3v-q6r (i.e. the Declamatio contra L. Catalinam). Provenance: manuscript inscriptions on title page: [1] "petro … [illegible]" (crossed-out, the rest erased) written in an early hand; [2] "1505"; [3] "Kempo Thessaliensis" (erased but visible under UV light) [Kempo Thessaliensis, i.e. Kempo van Texel (fl. 1505-1530), born on Texel, studied in Paris, taught at Zwolle, rector of the Latin school in Alkmaar, from 1522/3 rector of the Latin school in Zwolle]; [4] "Philebert Vlgher" [possibly Philibert Ulger van Noordijck, of Zwolle?]; [5] "1470. vid. ad fin. Conjurat. Catalin." [note on printed date in book on e2r, written by John Mitchell (ca. 1685-1751), librarian to Sir Richard Ellys (1682-1742)]; [6] two lines of text in an early hand: "Comedie Tere[n]tij cu[m] figuris et breui declaration / Tragedie Senece cu[m] duobus co[m]mentarijs"; [7] "Petrus brouerus" (scribbled over) [there was a Petrus Brouerus who was rector of the Latin school in Zwolle ca. 1589]. Binding: eighteenth-century full mottled calf; sewn on six supports; double and single blind fillet border; gilt roll pattern on board edges; gold-tooled spine with brown leather title label 'C.
