Provenance: manuscript initial on front fly-leaf: "M." [i.e. catalogue code of John Mitchell (ca. 1685-1751), librarian to Sir Richard Ellys (1682-1742)]. Binding: eighteenth-century full gold-tooled brown and red mottled calf; gilt triple fillet and roll-tool border with crown and rose motifs; gilt roll pattern on board edges; gold-tooled spine; brown leather label with gilt title on spine. Marbled edges. Comb-marbled endpapers.
