Presentation copy, inscribed by author on front endleaf: "For my Cosin Francis Cholmondeley: March 31, 1678. The errata of the Printer are corrected, and some briefe notes added by your Servant Leycester". Inscriptions on front endpapers: [1] seventeenth-century(?) former shelfmark "H.3.3"; [2] "Fleetwood"; [3] manuscript code struck through; [4] initials(?) struck through. Binding: seventeenth-century sprinkled calf over boards, double blind fillet frame with double blind rule parallel to spine; gilt roll pattern along board edges; five raised bands, remains of goatskin label; blue and red marbled edges.
