Provenance: Bookplate on front pastedown: Armorial, Grey and Booth quarterings impaling Cavendish-Bentinck: George Harry Grey, 5th earl of Stamford & 1st earl of Warrington (2nd cr.) (1737-1819). manuscript inscription: (1) on sig. A1: December 18th 1700 16 shillings. (2) on title page: Warrington. [Both in the hand of George Booth, 2nd earl of Warrington (1675-1758)].. Binding: Sprinkled panelled calf; blind ruled and tooled; spine gilt; no monogram (the panels are gilt tooled leaving no room for the monogram stamp).
