Esqr. 1698 [i.e. John Hervey, later 1st Earl of Bristol (1665-1751)].. Binding: Eighteenth-century blind and gold-panelled sprinkled calf bindings; gilt roll on board edges. Each vol. rebacked in gold-tooled calf, with gilt title, vol. no. and date stamped on spines. Red sprinkled edges.

Part of the Bristol Collection. The house and contents were acquired through the National Land Fund and transferred to the National Trust in 1956
