(The paper is different from the rest of the book, there are no page numbers and there is no accompanying text on the recto of p.69 and the verso of p.70?) Dunham is referred to as one of 'eight other castles' with which 'this shire has been strengthened.' (p.73). Bookplate on front pastedown: Armorial, Grey and Booth quarterings impaling Cavendish-Bentinck: George Harry Grey, 5th earl of Stamford & 1st earl of Warrington (2nd cr.) (1737-1819).. Binding: Panelled calf; blind rolled, ruled and tooled; spine double blind ruled; spine label missing ('Speed's maps') and double gilt ruled.
