Provenance: manuscript annotations in hand of John Robartes, 2nd Baron Robartes of Truro, 1st Earl of Radnor (1606-1685). Initials 'ET' stamped in gilt on binding [possibly Elias Travers, the son of one Thomas Travers who married Lord Robartes' niece. Elias was employed in the Secretary's Office in Ireland from 1669, subsequently MA Christ's Coll. Cambridge. See Lanhydrock B.2.19 'Docket book of leases' fol. 101v]. Binding: seventeenth-century sprinkled calf; double blind fillet border; gilt roll pattern on board edges. Initials 'ET' stamped in gilt on both boards. Holes for pair of ties (missing) in boards. Rebacked in sprinkled calf. Gilt title and date on spine.
