Extensive manuscript annotation on back flyleaf dated Sept. 1852, headed 'Monument to the Memory of "Butler", the Poet' with a description of the monument to Butler which was erected by direction of John Taylor Strensham. Vol.2 has manuscript annotations on front and back flyleaves, in different hands.. Binding: Eighteenth-century half sheep; marbled paper over boards; sewn over five raised bands.
