Provenance: nineteenth-century armorial bookplate, lettered Hudson Gurney [i.e. Hudson Gurney (1775-1864), Norfolk antiquary and banker; R.W. Ketton-Cremer acquired items from his former library from the Norfolk and Norwich library]. Endpaper inscribed "R.W. Ketton-Cremer Felbrigg 1942" [i.e. Robert Wyndham Ketton-Cremer (1906-1969)]. Binding: seventeenth or early-eighteenth-century calf; gilt rolled border; gilt tooled spine; red spine label, gilt lettered.
