3v., plates : port. ; 8vo. Provenance: eighteenth-century armorial bookplate of Wm. Henry Worthington Esq. This owner also inscribed the titlepage, but mostly erased. Inscribed on endpaper: "This set ... belonged to my friend Hugh Gatty; Fellow and Librarian of St. John's College, Cambridge, who died on March 18th 1948. R.W. Ketton-Cremer." Binding: eighteenth-century calf, with stencilled ornament and gilt fillet border; sewn onto five raised bands; gilt tooled spine and board edges; gilt lettered and numbered green and red spine labels.
