Franks 21457. This has been pasted over an earlier plate, probably that of John's brother, Robert Myddelton (1678-1733). manuscript inscription on front fly-leaf: "C. Thomas aedis Xti. alumn. Oxon. 1711".. Binding: Seventeenth-century blind-panelled sprinkled calf binding; blind roll on board edges; gold-tooled spine, with gilt title label.
