Myddelton [i.e. Robert Edward Myddelton (1866-1949)]; crest, signed and dated: W.P.B. 1914.. Binding: Sixteenth-century blind- and gold-tooled binding over wooden boards. Elaborately panelled in blind and lettered in gilt. Blind-tooling includes decorative, foliate (with birds), and pictorial rolls, plus acorn and fleur-de-lys stamp. Bevelled edges. Has pair of brass catches on upper board and one clasp on lower board (other missing); board edges have metal plates at each corner (some missing). Repaired at top corner around spine. Blind fillet and gilt title label on spine (cracked). Manuscript waste on vellum along spine.
