Provenance: Bookplate (crest: bird on a tree stump): 'Edwd. Lockwood Percival'.. Binding: Eighteenth-century red straight-grained morocco binding; blind- and gold-tooled boards, with gilt armorial centrepiece stamp of the Marquis of Blandford [i.e. George Spencer Churchill (1766-1840), the future 6th Duke of Marlborough]. Gilt roll patterns on board edges and on turn-ins; blind- and gold-tooled spine, with title panel: 'Poems and miscellaneous pieces'. All edges gilt.
