[i.e. catalogue code of John Mitchell (ca. 1685-1751), librarian to Sir Richard Ellys (1682-1742)]. Manuscript price on front fly-leaf has been inked-over. Manuscript inscription on title page: "Petrus Coyauld de Santé, Lugd: Batav. 1707" [i.e. the Huguenot Petrus (Pierre?) Coyauld de Santé (d. 1726), who is recorded as the Rector of Blunsdon St. Andrew in Wiltshire, appointed in 1715. He was presumably studying at Leiden University in 1707]. Manuscript marginal annotations throughout, giving bibliographical references to editions of the works mentioned in the text. Binding: eighteenth-century sprinkled sheepskin; blind triple fillet border; panel (unsprinkled) of blind triple fillets and blind roll pattern with blind cornerpiece stamps; gilt roll pattern on board edges; blind fillets on spine. Red sprinkled edges.
