The last leaves should be at the beginning" [i.e. catalogue code and collation note by John Mitchell (ca. 1685-1751), librarian to Sir Richard Ellys (1682-1742)]. Manuscript code at foot of title page. Binding: seventeenth-century calf; both boards detached; blind double fillet border, with blind floral cornerpiece stamps; blind dotted roll pattern on board edges; recessed cords; single blind double fillet panel along length of spine, with blind floral stamp at head and foot. Dark blue stained edges.
