Summary
Bibliographic description
2 v. : ill. ; 4to. Running number: 6109. Author's name in manuscript erroneously supplied in an eighteenth-century hand above the *** in the statement of responsibility on the title page: "Aug. Calmet" [i.e. Augustin Calmet (1672-1757)]. In vol. 2 an additional leaf Hh3 (p. 245-246) is inserted before leaf A1, containing different text and setting to the leaf Hh3 in the correct setting; presumably the former is a cancel leaf, the latter the cancelland. Provenance: with some pencil markings in the margins and underscoring of text. Binding: eighteenth-century full mottled calf (rubbed); double gilt fillet border on covers; gilt roll pattern along board edges; gold-tooled spines, with crowned dolphin stamps. Red sprinkled edges on textblock. Comb-marbled endpapers.
