Bibliographic description
[54], 683, [13] p., [2] leaves of plates (1 fold.) : ill., map ; fol. Provenance: prize binding from the Jesuit gymnasium, Brussels, 1666. Inscribed on flyleaf: "Ex suprema classe grammatica ad podsim gradium facienti Danieli de Mayere Antuorpiensi [Antwerp] Dono illustrissimorum Brabantia ordinum in Gymnasio Soctis Jesu Bruxelles 1666". Armorial bookplate of: 'Thomas Anson Esqr. Shugborough' (printed in black ink); presumably Thomas Anson, 1st Viscount Anson, (1767-1818), though this plate seems to have been pasted into many of the books at Shugborough, and is not necessarily reliable evidence of provenance. Binding: seventeenth-century calf, gold-tooled centrepiece armorial: lion rampant and the legend "Brabant". Rebacked.
