Binding: eighteenth-century full sprinkled calf; sewn onto six sewing supports, with six raised bands; covers have a border of double gilt fillets and two gilt roll patterns; gilt roll pattern along board edges; gold-tooled spine, with gilt fillet panels divided into quarters by a fillet saltire, each quarter with acorn or other stamps; brown sheepskin title label on spine. Red and brown sprinkled edges. Wide comb pattern marbled endpapers.
