(upside down on rear pastedown in vols. 3 and 4), lettered: William Windham Esquire [probably William Windham II (1717-1761)]. Binding: eighteenth-century full sprinkled calf (rubbed and scratched); sewn on four supports; six raised bands; double gilt fillet border with small gilt fleuron cornerpieces; blind roll pattern on board edges; gold-tooled spines with crown and floral stamps; brown leather title label and vol. number on spines; red sprinkled textblock edges.
