[i.e. Basil Feilding (1668-1717), 4th Earl of Denbigh and 3rd Earl of Desmond]. Nineteenth-century (?) book label with Earl's coronet and monogram "M X" [?], also found in some other Feilding books. Bequeathed to the National Trust by Norman Norris (1917-1991). Inscribed on pastedown in his hand: From Newnham Paddox Library . 1/10 '46 [Newnham Paddox, Warwickshire, home of Feilding family, Earls of Denbigh]. Binding: Eighteenth-century full calf over boards; blind fillets, roll-tools and cornerpieces; later brown leather spine label; sewn on five raised bands.
