Armorial bookplate (between 1733 and 1754): Philip Lord Hardwicke Baron of Hardwicke in ye County of Gloucester [i.e. Philip Yorke, 1st Earl of Hardwicke (1690-1764), created Baron Hardwicke, 1733, and Earl of Hardwicke, 1754]. Binding: Eighteenth-century red morocco; gilt tooled border, spine; gilt armorial centrepiece, with motto: Prudens qui patiens; all edges gilt; six raised bands; black spine-labels: T. Dempsteri De Etruria regali / Tom I [-II].
