[3] Folded double leaf containing an interior view of the Église royale des invalides, with title 'Coupe ou Vue interieure et perspective de la magnifique Église royale des invalides ...', signed 'F.S. Extra plates [2] and [3] are inserted following leaf N2. Provenance: manuscript initial on front fly-leaf: "M." [i.e. catalogue code of John Mitchell (ca. 1685-1751), librarian to Sir Richard Ellys (1682-1742)]. Binding: late seventeenth- or early eighteenth-century full sprinkled calf; sewn on six raised bands; gilt roll pattern along board edges; gold-tooled spine with stamp, roll and fillet decoration; gilt title 'Descript des invalid' on reddish-brown goatskin label on spine. Red sprinkled textblock edges. French curl pattern marbled endpapers.
