[16], 506, [30] p. ; fol. Former shelfmark: 14.g.22. Running number: 2458. Provenance: arms of Louis-Henri de Loménie, comte de Brienne (1635-1698). Count Loménie de Brienne's library was sold in London in 1724, where Sir Richard Ellys (1682-1742) undoubtedly purchased it. Binding: seventeenth-century red morocco (torn and scraped on both upper and lower covers); gilt double and single fillet border, with small rosette cornerpiece stamps; gilt armorial centrepiece stamp (with mermaid crest): arms of Louis-Henri de Lomenie, comte de Brienne (1635-1698); gilt double fillet on board edges; gilt roll pattern on turn-ins; gold-tooled spine, with gilt title on goatskin label. Gilt marbled edges. Swirl-marbled endpapers.
