[i.e. catalogue code of John Mitchell (ca. 1685-1751), librarian to Sir Richard Ellys (1682-1742)]; with Mitchell's manuscript code at foot of leaf: "ι½." [i.e. iota ½ = Greek number 10½]. Binding: quarter-bound sheepskin with blue paper over boards; triple gilt fillet decoration on spine; gilt title on dark green goatskin label on spine; head and tail of spine cracked, partially missing, with insect damage; uncut textblock edges.
